Demonstrate Grants: Gender-Based Violence Prevention
These grants support women’s rights and civil society organisations in Southeast Asia to document and share evidence about effective approaches to preventing gender-based violence. At least four grants of AUD 20,000–30,000, plus flexible core funding, are available.

AI-Enabled Consumer Engagement for Family Planning
This challenge supports organisations using AI to provide personalised family-planning information to women and girls in sub-Saharan Africa. Applicants must have an existing health platform and user base in an eligible country. Grants of up to US$500,000 are available.

The Laundry Transformation Challenge
This challenge seeks affordable and inclusive technologies that reduce women’s unpaid laundry work, physical strain, water use and pollution in Cambodia, Nepal and the Philippines. Selected pilot projects can receive up to US$450,000.

Improving Micronutrient Assessment
This challenge seeks affordable laboratory platforms that can measure multiple indicators of nutrition, infection and inflammation, particularly among women of reproductive age, pregnant and breastfeeding women, children and older adults. Women-led teams and institutions from low- and middle-income countries are encouraged to apply. Grants of up to US$800,000 are available.

School Leadership Research Grants
The African Centre for School Leadership is offering grants to Africa-based researchers conducting action research on school leadership and improved learning outcomes. Proposals addressing gender equality, disability inclusion and underserved communities are encouraged. Grants of up to US$15,000 for single-context studies and US$35,000 for comparative research are available.
Deadline: 30 September 2026.

Wellcome Early-Career Awards
These awards support early-career researchers from any discipline to develop independent research that may improve human life, health and wellbeing. Funding covers the researcher’s salary and up to £400,000 in research expenses, usually for five years.
Important for Latin American applicants: submit by 28 October 2026, before Wellcome’s location eligibility changes.

Humanity, Climate & Nature – Call for Discussion Papers
The British Academy will commission approximately 20 evidence-based papers exploring how climate, nature, health and development challenges can be addressed together. The call is open worldwide to researchers, practitioners, policymakers and independent experts at any career stage. Selected authors will receive £2,500 to produce a 4,000–5,000-word policy-focused paper based on existing knowledge and research.
Deadline: 16 September 2026 at 5:00 pm BST.

Postdoctoral Junior Leader Fellowships – “la Caixa” Foundation
The 2027 call offers 40 three-year postdoctoral fellowships for researchers of any nationality to conduct STEM research in Spain or Portugal. Applicants must generally have completed their PhD between two and seven years before the deadline. Each fellowship provides support valued at up to €320,100, including research funding and professional development.

Wellcome Photography Prize 2027
This free international competition invites photographers, scientists, healthcare professionals and people drawing on lived experience to submit images exploring health, science and the human experience. Entries are accepted across three categories: a single photograph, a storytelling series, and scientific or medical imaging. Each category winner will receive £10,000, while the other finalists will receive £1,000.

C3 EmpowerHer
C3 EmpowerHer is a six-month accelerator for early-stage, women-led or women-benefitting climate resilience businesses operating across the Middle East and North Africa. Thirty businesses will receive training, mentoring and investor access, while the top ten can receive up to USD 20,000 in funding.

A free eight-week business training program for women in Jalisco, Mexico. It offers different pathways for new, growing and established businesses, with support in areas including finance, marketing, leadership and business growth.

Interledger Local Impact Mini-Grants
Community organisations, cooperatives, social enterprises, local fintech businesses and individuals can apply for USD 500–3,000 to deliver activities supporting digital financial access. Projects serving communities in the Global South, rural areas and places with limited access to financial services will be prioritised.
Deadline: 11 November 2026, with applications reviewed as they arrive.

She Starts with Thrive
She Starts with Thrive supports refugee women across Australia who want to start or grow a small business. The program provides business planning assistance and loans of up to AUD 50,000, with interest rates as low as 0%.

Global Sisters
Global Sisters provides free business support for women across Australia, regardless of their business stage or industry. Support includes online education, personalised coaching, workshops, business resources, financial pathways and opportunities to sell through its marketplace.

Queensland Female Founders Co-Investment Fund
Queensland-based, majority women-owned innovative businesses can apply for AUD 50,000–200,000 in government co-investment funding. The fund is intended for businesses beyond the proof-of-concept stage that are preparing for, or already undertaking, an early-stage private capital raise.
Deadline: 30 June 2027, or earlier if all funding is allocated.

Building Feminist Digital Territories
Digital wellbeing is about more than reducing screen time. This new resource from FRIDA explores how surveillance, data extraction, online violence and the pressure to remain constantly visible affect women, feminist movements and communities. It invites us to imagine digital spaces grounded in safety, autonomy and collective care.

Women’s Health Week 2026
Jean Hailes Women’s Health Week returns with the theme “do it anyway,” encouraging women to take small, realistic steps towards better health without waiting for perfect conditions. The week will share practical information on nutrition, movement, mental health, sleep and social connection.
