Breaking Language Barriers Programa
Inspired by the work of many great scientists accross the globe to break language barriers in science.
Language barriers in science
About the Program
We joined forces with AMC2023 to support your online participation at the conference and make it as smooth as possible. You will have the chance to showcase your science to an international audience and listen to the most recent scientific advances from worldwide leaders in melanoma research.
Please read the following guidelines and contact us if you have any questions.
Who will be supported?
Melanoma researchers (from students to well-established researchers) living in Latin America can apply. Unlike other Huitaca programs, this opportunity goes wider to include male researchers.
How will you be supported?
Huitaca will provide free translation and editing services for your abstract and poster. This will ensure your message is clear and your science can be understood in English. The judges will select the best abstract based on the quality and impact of your science.
If your abstract is selected for a poster presentation, AMC2023 will cover online participation registration fees (AU$400 – AU$700). In addition, Huitaca will take care of your poster's translation, edition, design ( ~ AU$ 500), and printing fees (~ AU$ 120). Finally, on 24th March, we will hang the poster for you at the conference happening in Australia.
How to Apply:
Before applying, we recommend that you visit the AMC2023 official website and explore the research themes for the 2023 program.
If you are eligible, send us an e-mail with:
Full names and affiliations of all authors.
Title and Abstract (between 300 - 500 words). Please note that we need to shorten it to 250 words in English. Your abstract can be submitted in Spanish, Portuguese, or English.
Email it to email@example.com before the 10th of January, 2023
After you Apply:
If your abstract is preselected, we will edit it and send it directly to the AMC2023 selection committee on the 17th of January, 2023. We might contact you to clarify information and accept the final changes before submission.
Selected abstracts will be announced on the 14th of February, 2023.
If your abstract is selected for a poster presentation, you will need to send us the first draft of your poster by the 2nd of March, 2023. This will give us plenty of time for translation, edition, design, and printing your poster.
The conference will take place on the 24-25th of March in Brisbane, Australia. All you need to do is to jump online and enjoy the meeting!
Important Note: attendance is online. This program does not grant traveling or accommodation fees.
